The Full Story

The Primrose name has been associated with innovation and excellence in engineering for over a hundred years. In the early years of last century James Primrose was a pioneer in the then new field of electrical engineering.

In the 1930s James formed the consulting engineering firm Ramsay & Primrose, which grew to become one of Scotland’s most prominent electrical and mechanical practices during the 1960’s and 70’s under the leadership of his son Jim Primrose.

Robin is now the third generation of the Primrose family to stand out in this field. Having developed specialist knowledge of the lift sector during his twenty years with Ramsay & Primrose, in 1999 he formed his own eponymous consultancy practice specialising solely in lift and escalator engineering.
